Who we are?

Barcela – Ceramics For Life, Lda is a pottery company producing household and hospitality ware, ornamental and decorative items, and ceramic products in earthenware, porcelain and fine stoneware, headquartered at Rua de São Vicente, no. 1386, 4750-249 Areias, Barcelos, Braga.

This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the collection and processing of personal data carried out by Barcela and is complementary to the terms and conditions set out in supply, service provision or other similar contracts.

Scope

The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), approved by the European Parliament in May 2016, came into force on 25 May 2018. Barcela is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers and of the users of its digital platforms, with the aim of reinforcing its commitment to the privacy and protection of personal data and ensuring conduct in strict compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law.

Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, directly or indirectly.

Types of personal data we collect, how we collect them and for what purpose

We collect personal data when you register on our website, when you request a product, service or information, submit a complaint or provide feedback.

Barcela collects the personal data necessary for the pursuit of its activity, mainly for managing contractual relationships for the supply of products, the provision of services and customer support. For this purpose, it processes data such as name, address, telephone number, email address, tax identification number and data related to the service provided.

Retention period

Whenever no specific legal requirements apply, data will be stored for the minimum period necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected. With the aim of ensuring the security and integrity of the data provided by users of our website and digital platforms, we have implemented technological and organisational measures that help us keep information safe and up to date.

Additionally, we may need to disclose personal data in order to comply with the law, protect or defend Barcela’s property rights, or act in urgent situations to safeguard the security and protection of the data of our users, customers and the public.

Barcela reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Use of the service constitutes acceptance of these terms and of any updates. As such, please review this Privacy Policy periodically.
